STRIDER 16 Sport Youth Balance Bike.
8.0 kg

Availability: In stock

This bike is a hit with all kids aged 6 - 12 years. Perfect for learning to ride a bike for the first time and for kids who are dealing with special needs challenges, as well as those who are tearing it up at the skate and BMX parks.

rider inseam ranges from 52cm - 67.3cm.

Seat height 49.2cm to 65cm

The footrest can be fitted onto the bike when the user has started to coast, to allow feet to be tucked up out the way. A crank and pedals cannot be fitted to the bike. A pedal bike for this age group, without any gears, would be a hindrance and no longer fun as it would be hard work to use over any distance. This teaches the balance BEFORE moving onto pedals if that is the aim. Of course, some people may feel that pedals are not achievable so the bike offers the longevity required to grow with them.

The bikes weigh 8kg only

Looking forward to using it at Christmas
Bought for Christmas so haven't used it yet. Looks good. Service was excellent. Arrived quickly but without a seat clamp which was sent immediately after contacting them.

Excellent
This was bought as a Christmas present for my 10 year old autistic daughter so hasn't been used yet. Most manufacturers of balance bikes think it should only be toddlers that use them so I was delighted to find your company when my daughter decided she wanted her first bike. Ordered this one day and received it the very next day. Excellent service.

Service was excellent by the company, would use them again. I brought this for my daughter who has down syndrome and is struggling with balance and confidence on a bike, so this was an exciting purchase!
Brilliant bike, solid, great product.

Brilliant for learning to get the balance concept prior to being able to turn the peddles.
My son has dyspraxia and I thought he would never ride a bike. We were advised to buy this bike and I am sure that it has been instrumental in his learning to ride a bike which he finally did last week.

Fantastic bike great for ASD child
I brought this bike for my son who is 5 years old but Is very tall, he also has autism and isn't able to ride a bike with pedals at the moment but he loves his balance bike. The bike is great quality and looks amazing! He's just getting us evto the size of this bike compared to the small balance bikes. I think once he has the hang of it he'll be super happy with it. Delivery was prompt and company have dealt with all questions I had quickly. Great company and great bike! I would highly recommend!

Best confidence builder
The bike arrived as stated and was easy enough to assemble.  My son who is 10 and autistic had no confidence on riding his pedal bike without stabilisers.  He took to riding his Strider straight away and pretending it was a motorbike.  He actually asked if he could go out on his bike which is not usual.

Brilliant
After 18months of being unable to learn to balance on a regular bike with stabilisers and without, my 6yr old grandson who has mild autism & dyspraxia became frustrated and very unhappy. Especially so when his peers had achieved it. I gave him the strider bike for his birthday (6th). He now rides along side his peers who admire his bike, he's confident and proud of his achievements. This bike is excellent in build great value for money .... thank you so pleased I found your web site

brilliant
Bought this for my 7 year old son who has difficulty with his balance and co ordination. He has only been on it a couple of times but is already makibg progress. He has some bruises on the back of his legs but this bike is excellent for him. It will take him longer due to his disabilities but it was definately worth it and we will keep at it x thank you x

Fantastic bike!
We bought this bike for our son, who has autism. He struggles with pedals but loved the little balance bike he had but he outgrown it. Found the strider website whilst browsing on the net. He absolutely loves his bike. It's very well made, will last him a long time and so easy to ride. He was straight on and off he went. Fantastic!

Totally recommend
My daughter is 7 and has been extremely nervous about riding her bike without stabilisers. A friend recommended a Strider and it has been amazing. Her confidence and balance have improved in just a week of Striding :) totally recommend I think she'll be ready for her pedal bike by the end of the month.

Revelation!
Our 7-year old has been having difficulty on a regular bicycle; his confidence was wavering as he struggled with his balance. His 16" Strider Sport has given him a real boost; already he is going around the block, with no stopping and no nervousness. We are very pleased ... so far, so good! :)

Happy to recommend
Nice design, easy to build and actually has a nice build quality feel.
Within a couple of sessions my daughter was able to balance and coast. She now fully understands the concept of balance and won't be long before she is cycling.

The best thing for encouraging independence and enjoyment as well as working on gross motor skills covertly
This bike has been wonderful in so many ways! My daughter struggles with thresholds (even cracks in pavements) and has a general dislike for the world outside our home. Thanks to this bike I no longer piggy back a child half my body weight! She feels fantastic that she has a bike with no stabilisers without the worry of falling off, as she is in complete control. For developing her gross motor skills it is simply perfect. She and I are thrilled with this bike - I truly think that this bike would be an asset in the field of occupational therapy.

Thank you so much
I bought 2 strider bikes after speaking to you about my 7 year old who has autism and who struggles with a bike due to coordination issues.
Delighted to tell you that she has got the hang of it, and is delighted with her balance bike. We are so very happy as we though that day would never come.
She even had a friend ask if it was really a balance bike as it didn't look like it.
Thank you so much, her confidence has had an amazing boost. The small strider we bought for our 4 year old has gone down a storm too. She is very speedy on it!

Chuffed to bits
Wow! I just want to say how pleased I am that I bought the twins their Strider 16 Sports. Having not discovered Balance bikes at an earlier age I was a little reluctant to pay the price for a larger version but, when 2 children want to learn at the same time and I've only one pair of hands, it seemed like the best option to take. After just 7 days, practising every day, Lily jumped on her pedal bike last night and off she went with confidence. It was a joy to watch!! I think Arley will be doing the same before the weekend is out smile emoticon so, thank you for such a wonderful product....to see the smile on my childrens faces, they were worth every penny!
