Hi I'm Rich Pow an ex BMXer from back in the day!!! I can't believe how fantastic Strider Bikes are for little ones...
I was introduced to it when I took (my then nearly 2 year old) son Preston to Perry Barr Track on his wooden balance bike. Once there we met some fabulous people... a little dude called Marshall and his mom n dad introduced us to the world of Strider... 2 hours later we had bought the gloves, 2 days later the knee and elbow pads and 2 weeks later we booked Preston into his first race on a hired Strider bike! He came first in all the motos but missed a podium place by one... Proud parents!!! Well that was it... Christmas came and Santa bought him his very own Strider Pro... it now has a bottle holder and bottle, a brake and is personalised with Preston's name!!! He's got the Strider jersey and a full face helmet... We definitely got the Strider bug!!
The bikes are amazing, the confidence Preston now has cycling is unbelievable... he can now ride a pedal bike (stabilisers... what are those...???)! And he's not even 3!
He entered the May race today and again came first in all the motos and came third in the finals... to see how chuffed his little face was on the podium holding his trophy with pride was such a proud mommy n daddy moment!
We have had lots of family fun, quality father and son time and met lots of new friends. It's so nice to see all the little kids in their Strider gear whizzing round the track getting fresh air in their lungs and keeping fit - just like how it should be - like back in the good old days...!!!
Seeing Preston and Marshall shake hands and give each other a high five on the podium shows the sportsmanship it promotes at the young and tender age of 2... you just can't beat it!
If anyone is contemplating getting their little ones into Strider Bikes do not hesitate... you will not be disappointed.
