A slalom time trial and a flat race saw everyone getting a share of the limelight and enjoyed the crowds cheering them on. We were really proud of our little ones who smiled all the way through and raced solo showing the confidence that Strider Bikes install in our youngest riders.
Everyone got a medal and a goody bag and throughly enjoyed the experience of receiving them on the British Cycling podiums. Huge thanks to the Staffordshire County Council Staff for running such a successful event and for Paul Rowlands of Leadout Cycling Ltd, the organiser behind the whole festival for inviting us!
Saturday saw us move to the stunning location of Shugborough Hall for day 2 of the event with a Free STRIDER Adventure Zone for all under 5's.
Strider Bike UK is a family business and run by husband and wife team Gary and Karen Wood, however their children get involved too. At most weekends, Emma (10) and Joshua (7) are found with Strider Bikes helping children learn to ride but they are becomming media savvy too.
Listen to Emma by hitting the play button on BBC Radio Stoke explaining a bit more about what STRIDER typically get up to when running STRIDER Adventure Zones at festivals and then check out our events page for more opportunities to connect up with us.[audio mp3="http://www.striderbike.co.uk/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/KarenEmmaRadioStoke.mp3"][/audio]
